Disaster Relief to Alabama, Feb. 18-19, 2008

A major part of this relief trip was research of how others responded. Our actual aid was small, but the residents appeared thankful that we were willing. Receiving 501(c)3 status, will allow us to do so much more.

Relief Station

This relief station was in Prattville, AL. It was set up by the troupers and sheriffs. We plan to set up our relief stations in a similar fashion using large grills to serve hot food.

Doster Memorial Community Center was the shelter for the residents of Prattville, AL. While in Prattville, we stopped by the shelter to see if there was any need. The Red Cross, was taking care of feeding those sheltered here. We know from experience, that shelters are not always so fortunate.
